The best way to do this is to go straight to the source. If you are going to incorporate this lifestyle altering diet into your way of life, you want to make sure that you are following it to the letter and not some knock off version that may not be as effective.When it comes to low carb cooking you have the perfect excuse to use your grill well and use your grill often.

In fact, I highly recommend a George Foreman grill (or some similar knock off) for your home for those days when grilling outside simply isn't an option. Around our house, those are the days when the snow reaches the bottom of the grill but we are the exception rather than the rule. Also keep I mind that the laws of supply and demand are at play here. 

Not all private label rights pricing reflects the quality of the material involved. A very well written eBook may be sold thousands of times for pennies and require massive overhauling to make it seem unique from the heard, while a piece of similar quality may be sold to only a handful of people in limited quantities for considerably more. 

The latter requiring less overhauling due to its severely limited distribution giving it a far lower chance of customers of finding it duplicated elsewhere. 

Either way private label content is a great way to shave the tons of work of your schedule!

Your Cat has just been diagnosed with diabetes!

 
If your cat has just been diagnosed with diabetes, you might be afraid of what the future holds for your beloved pet. The good news is that cats can live long, healthy lives after being diagnosed with diabetes. The trick is that you, as a pet owner, must be dedicated to care for your cat during his or her illness. Diabetes is not a death sentence for pets. Here is some information to help you understand what you need to do to help your diabetic cat.

Regular Medical Care: After your cat has been diagnosed with diabetes, it is imperative that you visit your veterinarian on a regular basis. Your cat will need regular checkups to check the blood sugar levels and to make sure that he or she is receiving the right amount of insulin. When your cat goes in for a check up, the vet will ask that you do not feed your cat twelve hours part to the checkup. While your cat is at the check up, your veterinarian will draw blood and check blood sugar levels. People that have diabetes are able to check their blood sugar at home. However, this is not possible with cats unless you buy a glucose monitoring system. Your will probably ask that you bring your cat in every three months for this type of checkup.

Getting your Cat Insulin: When your cat has diabetes, it is your responsibility to make sure that your cat receives the proper dose of insulin twice a day. The amount of insulin that your cat will need will vary according to your cat's individual condition. Most cats will receive between three and five units of insulin to times per day. It is important that you establish a routine for your cat. Your cat needs to receive insulin 12 hours apart. Most people that have diabetic cats will give their cat and insulin shot at the same time every morning and at the same time every evening. 

It is not difficult to learn to give your cat insulin injections. Your veterinarian will walk you through the process, and then you can repeat this at home. Usually your veterinarian will recommend that you give your cat injections between the shoulder blades in the scruff of the neck. With patience and practice, your cat will barely feel the injections. In fact, most diabetic cats know when it is time to get their injection and they may actually remind you by meowing.

Stocking the Right Supplies: It is important that you have the right supplies on hand to help treat your diabetic cat. You will need a vial of insulin as prescribed by your veterinarian, syringes and alcohol swabs. It is always a good idea to order your insulin when you are about halfway empty. It may take a couple days for your veterinarian to order your insulin. Your veterinarian might also recommend getting your diabetic cat vitamin supplements and seating him or a special prescription diet such as Science Diet W/D. You must be able to see your cat immediately after he or she receives their injection. It is also a good idea to have some numbers to your veterinarian into at least two 24-hour emergency vet clinics available with you at all times just in case your cat needs help. 

Many people who owned diabetic cats worried about the costs that this condition incurs. It certainly does cost money to take care of a diabetic cat. A vial of insulin will cost you approximately $85 and will last you about two months. A box of 100 Syringes will cost about $30 and will last you 50 days, as you should use a new syringe for each injection. Prescription food will cost you about $40 for a 20-pound bag. However, it is important to remember that your cat is a part of your family. Most pet owners do not hesitate spending this kind of money on their pets.

Patience and Love: Above of all when you have a diabetic cat, you need a lot of patience and a lot of love. It is not always easy to care for sick and ailing cat. However, with the right care, you can expect your diabetic cat to have many more years of happy life.

There is a lot of competition in catching the attention of the subscriber in the email world. In order to distinguish from the rest of the clutter, communication must be made easier for the receiver. People always get attracted to things which are easy and go away from things which are difficult to do. The email should stand out amongst the rest of the emails. The sender should be easily recognizable and the subject line should be catchy. Emails should have provisions to take action in an easy way. They should be text based as well as HTML based. Include a link of the web version of the email, so that more vivid information can be seen. Obviously, the emails should be printer friendly; if not a printer friendly version of the email should be provided. 

It is very important to check the working of each and every link, including the unsubscribing link. Clicking on the link, it should take the reader directly to the web page, image or file. Subscribers find it very tedious to hunt for the desired content. Another important point which most of the marketers forget is to make the unsubscribe option easy. This strengthens the trust of the subscribers. More can be gained out of the unsubscribing process by including various options such as address change or changing the frequency of emails.

Five-Minute Fitness - Quick Ideas For Keeping Fit When Working At Home


One of the most difficult things about working at home is scheduling a proper fitness routine. If you are a Work At Home Mother and are having to contend with kids, housework and running a business too, you will have to make a special effort to schedule some exercise into your day. I find the best way of doing so is to squeeze in as many five minute bursts of activity as I can, either with the kids or without, and to try to make them fun too.

If the kids are at home:

Put the baby in the pushchair and the kids on bikes or scooters and take a brisk walk around the block. Getting outside into the open air will improve everybody's state of mind and mood. Walk fast to exercise your cardiovascular system (and keep up with the kids!) and you will return home feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Have a five minute tidy up! Set the kitchen timer, put some music on, and get everybody running around the house to pick up toys, books, clothes and shoes and return them to their proper places. Make it fun and the kids will enjoy it and willingly join in. Make it fast and you might even improve your fitness too!

What is the weather like? Can you take the kids out into the yard (garden) for a five minute run-around? Run races, do some star jumps, and just mess around. If you can't get outside, clear a space and do a five minute exercise routine with the kids indoors. Make it a daily event, and vary the routine to include walking and running on the spot, skipping, star jumps, stretches and bends, making faces, shaking out your fingers and toes - whatever you and the kids will enjoy!

During school term time:

Walk the kids to and from school. This is a great way to spend some quality time with your kids, is much less stressful than driving, and helps them arrive at school in the best mood for their day too. Can you jog or run home afterwards? If you live too far away from school to walk, perhaps you could park a little way away and walk the last bit (which will help you avoid school congestion too).

If the kids are at school and you are rushing to get something done before the school day ends, you can spend far too much time in your office and quickly get stale! Sometimes you just have to force yourself to take that break. even if end-of-school is looming. Try walking out of the front door with watch in hand and time yourself for 2.5 minutes. Stop, turn around, and go back home again. You will feel much better for it and be refreshed when you sit back down at your desk.

If you have time on your own:

Break your day up - and make sure that you plan your breaks in advance. I keep it simple by scheduling a five minute break every hour. If I am very engrossed in a project I sometimes set a beeper to remind me! I have a list of five minute activities to do and during a full work at home day I will probably achieve 6 or 7 of them.

Do you have stairs? Climb them! Time yourself and keep going for five minutes, no less. If you don't have stairs, buy a mini-step machine. They don't cost much, are easy to store in a corner, and they work!

No time to get out and about? Stretch! I have a card on the wall behind my monitor with the word "STRETCH!" printed on it in huge letters. When I get involved in a project I sometimes hardly look up from my keyboard and monitor for hours - but when I do, and notice the card, I remember to stand up, stretch everything out and take a 5-minute breather. Try standing about two feet away from your desk, bending at the waist and placing your hands on the edge of the desk to help support your body. Hold for thirty seconds and then stand up straight and take several deep breaths. Repeat twice more. Stretching out your back like this help release tension in the spine and shoulders. Shake out your arms and fingers, then your feet; stretch up tall and then touch your toes and do whatever else it takes to ease out those kinks!

Keep some tennis balls in a desk drawer and squeeze one in each hand as hard as you can for 10 second bursts. This is a great exercise to do when you have been typing for too long. Take those same tennis balls and roll them around under your feet (taking your shoes off first!) This is almost ridiculously pleasurable! (Tip: keep the tennis balls hidden away and out of reach to prevent them mysteriously disappearing from your office and reappearing in the car, garden or toy cupboard).

Try a five minute resistance band workout. Resistance bands are cheap, easy to store, and effective - and can be used to exercise many different areas of the body. Follow the instructions that come with the resistance band for a quick exercise routine - or try a search on Google for ideas. You can achieve quite a lot in five minutes with these.

Dumbbells are another good investment for a quick exercise routine. Get a range of weights and a storage rack, but make sure that they are stored safely away from children, who should NEVER play with them. Learn a quick dumbbell routine for the arms, back and shoulders. Personally I love bicep curls - they make me feel powerful! Find your favorite exercise and schedule it into your day.

Finally - and I hesitate to mention this one - a five minute stint of housework can break your work routine and, if you do it energetically enough - can be part of your fitness regime! I try to make these little spurts of housework into a time challenge and I schedule them into my day. For example, on Thursdays at 11.00am I might strip the beds. First, I open up ITunes and put one of my favorite tracks on. Then I run round like a mad thing trying to strip down 3 sets of beds, get the first lots of sheets into the washer and sit back down at the computer before the track ends. It may sound silly, but it makes housework a little more fun and less of a chore. A five minute sweep, vacuum or mop, if done energetically, can count towards your daily exercise and make you feel virtuous and house-proud too!

Dealing with Autism is Just Plain Hard!



Dealing with autism is just plain hard, regardless of where your kid falls on the spectrum. The problems and needs vary according to each child, but it all boils down to one simple concept.

Your kid is different.

Describe them however you like: quirky, unique, special, extra-normal, hard-headed, beautiful, frustrating, wonderful.

Describe autism however you like: a disease, a disorder, a genetic condition, a blessing, a curse, just a normal part of everyday life.

Approach the treatment of autism however you like: Biomed, special diets, Applied Behavioral Analysis, occupational therapy, medications, no treatment at all.

Despite the many ways that we as parents of autistic kids can differ, there is one way in which we will always be the same. Our kids are different, and that is just hard. The reality of our kids’ struggles is something that we face every single day, and it certainly takes a toll on the mind, heart and body.

I have had some bad days, and, no doubt, I will have more. However, while I am certainly not reticent to air my emotional laundry, I do not want to do that right now or in this section of the book. I would rather write about a few important conclusions that I have come to as a result of my bad days…and my good days…and the space in between.

Feel It

Life’s many difficulties are bound to stir up all sorts of emotions, but I have found having a child with autism to be particularly emotionally confounding. There are so many instances in which you simultaneously feel completely opposing emotions. Joy and grief. Acceptance and anger. Guilt and absolution. Other times, one emotion, usually a bad one, is so all encompassing that you can physically feel it pressing in on you. During the good times, you can feel a high that no drug can induce. One thing that I know for certain, whatever you are feeling, it is completely normal.

In my experience, it is best to let yourself feel all of them. Recognize them and sort them out into neat, little categories if you want to. My preferred labels are “totally awesome – enjoy it while it lasts” and “really sucky, but it’s just how I feel right now” and “totally counterproductive – stop right now.” Just feel it, whatever it is. If you try to ignore or shave the blunt edges off of anger, guilt, grief, it may retreat only to return later stronger and meaner for not having been recognized and dealt with in the first place. If you try to tamp down your joy because you think it will hurt that much more when a downward spiral hits, you are depriving yourself of the best moments in life. Ride the emotional roller coaster. If you are not constantly trying to get off the ride, you might find that the highs are more enjoyable and the lows are more tolerable.

Share It

All those feelings that you have? You don’t own the exclusive rights to them. Others are being knocked over by that very same emotional tsunami. Others share the same joys and heartaches. You may feel totally alone and cut off from the world, but, honestly, that is some pretty self-centered thinking. You’re not living in a vacuum in which you are the only one effected by your child’s diagnosis. Your spouse or partner, the person sleeping in the same bed with you every night, is struggling too. You need to share your feelings, communicate, confess your fears and bad thoughts to each other. Do not assume that he is doing just fine. Do not assume that you baring your soul will bring him down or increase his burden. There is no good reason for you to both seperately carry around the same weight. If you share it, it will lighten the load on both of you. Neither of you have to feel alone.

I used the example of a spouse, but the “share it” rule applies to other family and friends. There are other people out there feeling the same way that you do. Find them and build a community for yourself in which you feel safe, in which you can share without being judged, in which you can give and receive support. The autism experience strips you of all pretense. You need to surround yourself with people who don’t mind you streaking around emotionally naked, the kind of honest folks who will likely strip down and run around with you. Those are the people that know, because they feel it too.

Tell It

There is a whole other sub-set of people in your life that you might not want to share it with, but you just might want to tell it to. The co-worker set, the lady at the bakery that knows your name because you come in too many mornings to tank up on coffee and donuts set, the Judgey McJudgerson in the grocery store set. I do not feel that it is my duty to inform the masses about autism, and I don’t necessarily work the big “A” into every casual conversation that I have. However, I find a certain comfort in talking about it. Some times, it is an effort to educate in general. Other times, it springs from a desire for people to know me and to know my child. I tell it in the hope that the next time that I am having a crap day, that person might just understand and give me a supportive smile…or that the next time Judgey McJudgerson sees a child acting oddly or tantruming in a store, she doesn’t turn up her haughty nose or scowl or say something demeaning to that parent because just maybe she understands that she can’t possibly know what that child and that parent are dealing with…or when my co-worker sees a child in her family that has issues, she recalls our conversation and gets earlier intervention for that child. I like to tell it, but that’s just me. Not everyone does, and that is just fine too.

Screw It

Some days just suck, for any variety of reasons. I won’t bother to give examples; you have already experienced them. Sometimes you just have to say screw it. Screw autism. Screw this day. Do whatever you have to do to release all the negative emotions. Cry it out. Break plates. Punch a pillow. Go outside and scream at the heavens. After that…screw it. You can’t let one bad day bleed into the next. If you let that happen, your life can turn into an endless succession of bad days, and you’re very likely to miss out on some of the good things. You have to let tomorrow be a new day with a clean slate.

Confess It

Here is where I confess something to you. I frequently really suck at following my own advice. There are many days in which positive, healthy coping just doesn’t happen. There are days when I want to hide and not face the world. There are days when I insist on keeping it all inside, even when I know that it is in there growing all sorts of nasty cooties and possibly tentacles. But, I have my box full of coping tools, and more often than not and in my own time, I manage to dig through it and find the tool that I need.

Facing treatment options for Autism Care Services!!



When dealing with autism, just as in most other disorders, you will be faced with a number of treatment options for yourself or your child. These include treatments that are educational, behavioral, bio-medical, nutritional, and sensory. Unfortunately, for patients who are not affluent or who do not have good medical insurance, the cost of these treatments can be pricier than what they can afford. One way to ensure that you or your child receives the best possible treatment for autism is to carefully monitor the effects a treatment has over time. By finding out which treatments work and which do not, you can stop paying for the ineffective methods and put more of your money into those which are creating a positive difference.

First, evaluate the abilities of the autistic individual before treatment begins. To do this, many services and organizations, including the Autism Research Institute, provide a checklist of evaluation points that focus on behavior and illnesses associated with autism. Autistic individuals tend to have increasing functionality as they mature, so remember that some of the positive effects in his or her life are simply due to the natural growth process. However, after two months fill out the checklist once again and compare it to the first. Are there any sharp positive increases in behavior characteristics? If so, this is more likely due to the treatment. 

It is important to begin only one treatment method at a time. If you try everything at once instead, good and bad effects may cancel one another out, or even if the effect is totally positive, you will not know which treatment method is causing it and which are not doing anything. Of course, past studies can help you choose which methods to use, but because autism is an extremely complicated and individual disorder, these studies are not always helpful. Also, some treatments are so new that the studies done are only on short-term effects, which is usually unhelpful. Instead, it is a process of trial and error. Two months is a good amount of time to study the differences within an autistic individual trying a new treatment. After two months, if you do not see positive improvement, you can discontinue your use of that particular method and better invest your money in treatment options that work.

Remember that you do not always have to wait two months to make choices about whether to continue or discontinue a treatment method. If the side effects of a medication, for example, are interfering with the patient's life in an unbearable way, then you should discontinue the treatment. You can also make continual treatments based on immediate good reactions-just remember to continually monitor the various methods. Autistic individuals grow and mature just like everyone else, so treatments may stop working after time. Before trying anything new, consult your doctor to make sure you are being as safe and healthy as possible.
